Refund & Cancellation Policy

Registration Fee

Participation in SNH’26 requires payment of the applicable registration fee displayed on the official registration page.

The registration fee covers participation in the hackathon and related event administration.

A participant's registration is considered confirmed only after successful payment verification and confirmation by the SNH’26 registration system.

Participant-Initiated Cancellation

Once a participant has successfully completed registration and payment, the registration fee is generally non-refundable if the participant subsequently chooses not to participate.

This includes situations where the participant:

• Changes their mind
• Becomes unavailable
• Is unable to complete the project
• Does not submit a project
• Misses a hackathon deadline
• Fails to attend a scheduled event activity
• Decides to withdraw after registration

Duplicate Transactions

If a participant is charged more than once for the same registration due to a verified duplicate transaction, the participant may contact the SNH’26 support team with the relevant transaction details.

After verification, an eligible duplicate payment may be refunded through the applicable payment mechanism.

Failed Payment

If a payment fails but the participant's bank or payment provider shows that the amount has been debited, the participant should first allow the payment system to complete its normal reconciliation process.

If the amount remains unresolved, the participant may contact SNH’26 support with:

• Registration details
• Transaction/reference ID
• Date and approximate time of transaction
• Payment status or relevant transaction evidence

Any eligible refund will be processed after verification.

Incorrect or Incomplete Registration

A participant is responsible for providing accurate information during registration.

A registration may be cancelled or invalidated if:

• False information is provided
• Duplicate registrations are detected
• Eligibility requirements are not satisfied
• Payment cannot be verified
• The registration is found to violate the Official Rules

Unless required otherwise by applicable law or specifically approved by SpectoV, such cancellation does not create an automatic entitlement to a refund.

Disqualification

If a participant is disqualified for violating the Official Rules, Terms & Conditions, Code of Conduct, originality requirements, or other applicable requirements, the registration fee will generally not be refunded.

Disqualification may also result in loss of eligibility for prizes, certificates, internships, or other hackathon benefits.

Hackathon Cancellation by SpectoV

If SpectoV cancels SNH’26 before the event due to circumstances within SpectoV's control, SpectoV will communicate the applicable refund or alternative arrangement to registered participants.

Where the event is cancelled, postponed, or materially modified due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including force majeure, technical emergencies, legal requirements, or third-party service disruptions, SpectoV will determine the appropriate arrangement in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the event.

Postponement or Rescheduling

If SNH’26 is postponed or rescheduled, existing registrations may remain valid for the revised event dates.

SpectoV will communicate the revised schedule and any applicable participant options through official communication channels.

A postponement does not automatically create a right to a refund unless specifically announced by SpectoV or required by applicable law.

Prize and Internship Cancellation

The registration fee is separate from any prize, internship, or career opportunity.

A participant's eligibility for a prize or internship may be affected by:

• Disqualification
• Failure to meet eligibility requirements
• Failure to complete required documentation
• Failure to comply with applicable terms
• Non-acceptance of applicable internship or career terms

Cancellation or non-acceptance of an internship or career opportunity does not create a refund entitlement for the hackathon registration fee.

Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved, it will generally be processed through the applicable payment method or payment provider.

The actual time taken for the amount to reflect in the participant's account may depend on the payment provider, bank, or financial institution.

SpectoV will not be responsible for delays caused solely by external payment providers or banking systems.

How to Request Support

For payment-related issues, participants should contact the official SNH’26 support team through the communication channel provided on the official SpectoV website.

Participants should include sufficient transaction information to allow SpectoV to verify the payment.

Participants should not share passwords, UPI PINs, CVV numbers, OTPs, or other confidential payment credentials with the support team.

Policy Updates

SpectoV may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy where necessary to reflect operational, legal, or payment-processing changes.

The latest version published on the official SNH’26 website will apply to registrations subject to applicable law.

Acceptance

By completing payment and registering for SNH’26, the participant confirms that they have read and understood this Refund & Cancellation Policy and agree to its applicable terms.
